A good poem has rhyming but no ending, it continues to rhyme in our heart - Debasish Mridha
Mary Had A Little Rat
Mary had a little rat,
Its fur was smooth and cream,
And everywhere that Mary went,
The rat was on her team.
It came with her to school one day
And did her sums in maths,
It made the children cry and say
"I've seen a rat do graphs."
And so the teacher turned to it,
About to call it names;
"I hope you've brought your PE Kit,
Cause it's time we did our games."
Little did the teacher know,
The rat was good at sport,
No sooner were they told to go,
It was off and was not caught.
So Mary went back home that day,
With all her school work done,
And read a book about a sheep,
While the rat played in his run.
