A man who has never gone to school may steal from a freight car; but if he has a university education, he may steal the whole railroad - Theodore Roosevelt
The Picking of Penny Posy's Nosy
Penny Posy picked her nosy
Each and every day.
Penny Posy’s picking of nosy
Made all turn away.
During lessons in the classroom
While the children sat and listened
Nosy picking Penny Posy's
Little fingered glistened.
And who can blame her classmates
If they turned and ran away
When Penny Posy’s nosy picking
Interrupted play.
But worst of all was lunchtime,
When all hands were washed and clean.
With Penny Posy's nosy picking,
All knew where her finger had been.
Now at last, there came, a time one day,
When the teacher raised the issue,
Of Penny Posy picking of nosy
And offered her a tissue.
'Now Penny dear, please blow in this
And keep your poor nose smothered.'
But Penny winked then wiggled her finger
And said 'It's OK Miss, I've got it covered!'
