Writing Lessons Poem

Writing Lessons

My English teacher, Mr Hammer,
Couldn't talk - without a stammer.
And if in writing, I made an error,
Of word order, it was terror,
For he would shout, 'gr gr grammar!'

Another teacher was Miss Pelling,
Whose job seemed only to be yelling,
How this word or that word, that I’d wrote,
Was never right and then she'd quote,
'WILL YOU PLEASE - JUST LEARN THAT SPELLING!'

But worst of all was Mrs Lightning,
Who said she couldn’t read my writing,
‘Again!’ she barked, ‘I want it neat,’
‘Until redone don’t leave your seat.’
But that was mad for I’d been typing!
